About the Commons Center
The Commons Center is the new 120,000 square ft community square of The Commons. Located by the Peabody campus, the Commons Center project was an estimated $25 million project which opened August 1, 2007.
The Commons Center encompasses event space, conference space, lounging areas, recreational equipment, and much more.
The Center’s main Dining Hall is a place to dine with friends, study with classmates, find a new friend, or get to know a professor. The state-of-the-art dining facility includes a salad bar with sizzle station, Chef’s Table, specialty pizza oven, deli, wok, grill, and vegan/vegetarian food.
The Commons Center is also home to an exercise facility, resources for academic assistance (i.e. the Writing Studio and the College of Arts and Science Pre-Major Advising office), the Peabody Post Office and The Dean of The Commons Administrative Offices.
The Commons Center is a place where the Vanderbilt family can gather to grow as a community.
