I do not feel my schedule is all that demanding. I only do as much as I can easily manage and take on projects that are exciting to me.
What is your ritual before taking a test?
I am not a fan of staying up late to study the night before; I would rather sleep and wake up and read the paper and not think about the test information for a few hours so that I'm not stressed out by the time I get to the classroom.
What is your favorite quote?
"There is time for everything." --Thomas Edison
Why Tyler is a Student-Athlete of the Month . . .
Tyler has had an immediate impact on Vanderbilt University both in the classroom and on the field. Although being new to the program as a transfer from UNC, Tyler stepped in to fill the starting goal keeper slot immediately. Not only did this newcomer excel on the field by being named 1st Team All-SEC, she was also a member of the Dean's List and a member of the Academic All-SEC program. Vanderbilt should continue to look forward to great things academically and athletically from a well rounded student-athlete, Tyler Griffin. --Wes Maas

What is your favorite quote?
"Most people are like a falling leaf that drifts and turns in the air, flutters, and falls to the ground. But a few others are like stars which travel one defined path: no wind reaches them, they have within themselves their guide and path." --Hermann Hesse
Why Jordan is a Student-Athlete of the Month . . .
Jordan Magarik has been a pleasure to work with this past year. He is determined as much in the classroom as he is on the tennis court. Jordan is excelling in a rigorous pre-medicine program while also competing well for the tennis team. When it comes to time management and balancing the challenges of a tough academic load and the pressures of a Division I sport, Jordan is an excellent role model for his peers and future Division I student-athletes. --Mollie Busam
