Rebecca Chandler
Women’s Cross Country
Major: Political Science

Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?
I chose to come to Vandy because I wanted to go to a school that had strong academics as well as a very competitive D1 cross country team, but I also wanted to live in a fun city with great campus life.

What are your career goals?
I plan to go to law school and I’ll see where that takes me.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?
Study something that you actually like!

How do you manage your demanding schedule?
Lots of planning.

What is your ritual before taking a test?
Drink coffee and review notes/study guides.

 What is your favorite quote?
“Calling somebody else fat won’t make you any skinnier. Calling someone stupid doesn’t make you any smarter. And ruining Regina Georgia’s life definitely didn’t make me any happier. All you can do in life is try to solve the problem in front of you.”- Cady Heron from the movie Mean Girls.
