Walker May
Football
Senior
Major: Human and Organizational Development

Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?
It’s the best of both worlds. I compete with some of the best students in the world and with some of the best football players in the world.

What are your career goals?
I aspire to be successful and make an impact in others’ lives.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?
Planning.  It is easy to go and do other things besides studying, but when it comes down to it, planning to study and doing it has made me successful.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?
I have to make the most of the time I am given.  If I do not study when I have free time, then it will not get done.

What is your ritual before taking a test?
I say a prayer and give it my best!

What is your favorite quote?
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
-Winston Churchill
