Students who meet the eligibility requirements are automatically enrolled in and billed for the Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan. Insured students must actively attend classes for at least the first 31 days after the date for which coverage is purchased. Home study, correspondence, internet and television courses do not fulfill the eligibility requirement that the student actively attend classes.
Graduate/Professional Students: All graduate and professional students registered in degree programs of four or more credits or who are actively enrolled in research courses that are designated by Vanderbilt University as full-time enrollment.
International Students: All international students attending Vanderbilt University are automatically enrolled in and billed for the Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan to be in compliance with federal regulations relating to J-1 Visa status that requires international students and their dependents residing in the United States to maintain adequate health insurance coverage.
Undergraduate Students: All undergraduate students, with the exception of Division of Unclassified Studies students, who are registered in degree programs for four or more credits.
