Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS
The ACLS course is designed to familiarize participants in the management of acute cardiac rhythm disturbances and cardiac arrest situations in adults. This includes ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, respiratory arrest and acute MI or stroke. A good understanding of ECGs and cardiovascular pharmacology is strongly suggested as a prerequisite to the course.
The 2-day (12 hours) provider course is for first-time participants or those whose have not been trained in the last 2 years. A renewal course (8 hours) is for those with current or within the last 2 years ACLS cards wishing to renew their training. Check our website for further information.

Basic Life Support - BLS or CPR
Basic Life Support (BLS) courses provide instruction and hands-on practice using fundamental life saving skills for infants, children, and adults. These skills include what to do for someone who is choking on a foreign object (food, candy, etc) and, if needed, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). BLS courses are provided for both the general public and professional rescuers. BLS training is good for a 2 year period.
The 4 hour inital course is taught for those people who have never been trained in BLS or have not been retrained in the last 10 years. The 2.5 hour renewal course is for those who have had training within the last 10 years.
