Other Programs and Service Opportunities at St. Augustine’s

St. Augustine’s is a vibrant and active community that embraces a holistic approach to service and stewardship that integrates all aspects of one’s relationship with God and with one’s neighbors. We view service and stewardship as an ongoing and life-long commitment through which we deepen our faith in God and give ourselves to support the Chapel and each other.

There are abundant opportunities for St. Augustine’s community to become involved, including:

Lectors/Chalice Bearers

St. A’s is always looking for volunteers to prepare the chapel for services each Sunday and to participate as a lector or chalice bearer during the service. If you’re interested in serving in this way, please contact Kacky Fell at kacky@hatcherandfell.com.

Adult and Children’s Choirs

The St. Augustine’s adult choir is a collection of people – some professional musicians, most not – who perform at the 9:30 a.m. service (the only service as long as we meet in Benton Chapel). For more information or if you are interested in providing music during a Sunday service, contact Laura Donahue.

Daughters of the King

Daughters of the King is an order of women in the Episcopal Church who are committed to prayer and service, and to strengthening the spiritual life of the St. Augustine’s community. All women in the St. Augustine’s community, regardless of whether they are Episcopalians, are welcome to attend Daughters’ meetings and all are welcome to join our Chapter. We meet at 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at someone’s home. For the location of the next meeting, contact Inge Conway at 322-4783.
