Begun
with seed money from St. George's and Christ Church, St. Augustine's Episcopal
Chapel has served the Vanderbilt community since the mid-1950s. In recent
years, the chapel has become a vibrant place of worship and outreach not
only for Vanderbilt, but also for the wider Nashville community. Unique
in a campus setting, the intergenerational community encompasses ecumenism,
community service, overseas missions and campus ministry.

Stewardship 2010 - Theme of "Tree Roots"
As Becca says, "St. A's commitment to justice, stewardship, and outreach is like tree roots...We have always tried to plant seeds in this world, in the community and in our imaginations -- seeds that with love and mercy grow into something healing, beautiful" and whose roots will endure for years to come.
While each of us reflects on the importance of stewardship in living a life of deepening faith, may we pledge to do our part and return our pledge cards by mail to 6330 B, Nashville, TN 37235 or by email to our bookkeeper Peggy McMurray at peggy.mcmurry@comcast.net by Friday, March 26. As always, our financial pledges are held in confidence and once tallied for budget planning, pledge cards will be burned on Palm Sunday.
Choir Rehearsals for Palm Sunday and Easter
are
at Benton Chapel
immediately following the morning service and continue each Sunday through March 21st.
The choir will perform for Palm Sunday (March 28) and Easter Sunday (April 4) services.
