Dudley Defenders

The Defenders have dedicated themselves to librating the SEC passion for football.  Defenders is made up of some of the craziest football fans at VU.  The Defenders start pre-game festivities at the tailgate and then flock to the Star Walk to cheer on the team as they head to the field.  Shirts with barbed wire logos, face paint, foam swords, shakers, taunting signs, and the rowdiest cheers this side of the Cumberland River make the Defenders easily recognizable. The Defenders also host tailgates before every football home game, ensuring that no Vandy fan cheers for their beloved Dores on an empty stomach and that visiting fans know they are in Commodore Country.

Coming off its inaugural year during one of the most memorable years in Vanderbilt football history, the Dudley Defenders will be coming back to Dudley Field in full force to release the true fanatic in every Vandy fan
