The Department of Sociology at Vanderbilt is recruiting tenure-track Assistant and tenured Associate/Full professors with specialties in health and medicine, beginning Fall 2009. With funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and in collaboration with the Center for Health Policy at Meharry Medical College, the deparment seeks to fill three positions over the next two years. The Center for Medicine, Health, & Society (CMHS) at Vanderbilt University is recruiting a new Director, beginning Fall 2010. The applicant would also be a tenured Associate or Full Professor in CMHS and/or the department of their discipline. CMHS links the social sciences and humanities to Vanderbilt's academic medical center in undergraduate and graduate education, and cultivates dialogue among research and teaching faculty committed to exploring links among the humanities, social sciences, and academic medicine. We seek scholars with distinguished research and teaching records.
