CAS Standards
COUNCIL FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF STANDARDS IN HIGHER EDUCATION (CAS)
The mission of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) is to promote the improvement of programs and services to enhance the quality of student learning and development. CAS is a consortium of professional associations who work collaboratively to develop and promulgate standards and guidelines and to encourage self-assessment.

ASK Standards
Assessment Skills and Knowledge (ASK)
The ACPA ASK Standards were developed in 2006 and were endorsed by national accrediting bodies, associations, and assessment experts. ASK articulates the areas of content, skills, knowledge, and dispositions that student affairs professionals in all functional areas need in order to perform as practitioner-scholars. They also provide the basis to assess the degree to which students are mastering the intended learning and development outcomes.
