Kenneth WongWalter and Leonore Annenberg Professor for Education Policy
Professor of Education
Brown University

Kenneth Wong is the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Professor for Education Policy at Brown University. While holding joint appointments in the Education Department and the Annenberg Institute for School Reform (AISR), Professor Wong is also heading a new master’s program in urban education policy. A political scientist by training, Professor Wong has conducted extensive research in urban school reform, state finance and educational policies, intergovernmental relations, and federal education policy. Professor Wong is author or editor of several books, including Funding Public Schools: Politics and Policy (1999), and The Education Mayor: Improving America’s Schools (2007) with Francis X. Shen, Dorothea Anagnostopoulos, and Stacey Rutledge. Currently he serves as co-editor of Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, a refereed journal of policy research for the American Educational Research Association.

  The NCSC is funded by a 5 year, $13.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences. Its lead institution is Vanderbilt University in   Nashville, Tennessee. The center is housed on the campus of Peabody College, one of the nation's top graduate schools of education.
