Jie-Eun Grace Lee is a doctoral student in Educational Leadership and Policy and a research assistant for the Department of Leadership, Policy and Organization. Ms. Lee is originally from Seoul, Korea and came to U.S. as an immigrant when she was fourteen years old. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, she taught kindergarteners, later earning her master’s degree in comparative/international education at UCLA. At Vanderbilt she is studying public schools, parental involvement in comprehensive school reforms, and mayoral control of charter schools. Ms. Lee’s research interests include refugee student engagement in the U.S., and international child rights.
