Institute for School Excellence
Ruth L. Green is executive director of Institute for School Excellence, which collaborates with educators and accountability agents to build capacity, knowledge and skills in developing 21st century schools of excellence. Dr. Green received her Ph.D. in community psychology from North Carolina State University (NCSU), where she also served as campus director for assessment and director of the Hewlett Initiative. She has designed and conducted research on a variety of school innovation initiatives in both higher education and K-12 education. Most recently, Dr. Green has worked with the Mayor of Indianapolis charter school office on the design and implementation of the Mayor's accountability process. Her work was highlighted in the prestigious Harvard University Innovations in American Government Award for the charter school initiative.
