Xiu Cravens is a doctoral student in Educational Leadership and Policy. Her current research topics and field-based projects include Wallace Foundation Leadership Assessment System, Educational Leadership Learning Exchange for school principals, and charter school surveys. Prior to coming to Vanderbilt, Ms. Cravens was director of career center services at the Middle Tennessee Career Center, overseeing the operation of seven career center locations in the counties of Davidson, Wilson, Rutherford and Trousdale. Currently she is an active member of the Nashville community, involved in partnerships and initiatives promoting school leadership development, career development for disadvantaged youth, and social integration for new Americans.
