Get creative at the Sarratt Youth Art Institute! Have fun exploring clay, painting, sculpture, architecture, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, textile arts, and the art of different cultures from around the world. Make new friends and learn about a wonderful world of art. For summer 2012 Sarratt Youth Art Institute will offer one week classes by age groups. Ages 8 - 16 will explore two studios each day during a session. Children are divided into groups of 10 - 12 based on their ages and enrollment. Please see the schedule below for studio offerings each week. At SYAI, our goal is to focus in on each technique and have a more productive and fun time in each studio. This year's theme is "Art and Nature". Each art instructor will introduce students to an artist or a culture that is known for their work in the art mediums as well as incorporating Nature in to their subject matter or process. For summer 2012, SYAI will be relocated due to building renovations in Sarratt Student Center. SYAI will meet at 208 24th Avenue which is conveniently located near the Sarratt Student Center. Due to lack of space, we will not be registering ages 5 - 7 this year. We apologize and hope you will join us next summer. Please attend our In Person Registration on March 1 and 2, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, in the Sarratt Gallery on the main floor of the Sarratt Student Center. Use you MasterCard, Visa, check or cash to register your child for the weeks they would like to attend this summer's SYAI. Mail in and drop off registration will be available on Monday March 12.
