Office of the Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School
Dennis G. Hall is the Vice Provost for Research & Dean of the Graduate School. As a member of the provost's senior staff, he oversees the operation and campus-wide mission of the Graduate School as dean, and advocates for and oversees research outside the Medical Center. In partnership with colleague Dr. Jeff Balser, Dean of Vanderbilt School of Medicine and Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs, he provides broad oversight of Vanderbilt's interschool research centers and institutes and of a number of campus-wide services. Hall has served as associate provost since 2000.
