With a new school year always comes new changes and plenty of new faces. OUCRL is very excited to welcome CJ Thompson to our office as the new UKIRK Affiliated Chaplain for our Presbyterian Ministry (PCUSA). We look forward to getting to know CJ and working with him and UKIRK during this exciting year.

After graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2001, C.J. began working in churches in Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.  His ministries in churches have focused on Youth, College and Young Adults/Families.  While in South Carolina, he was the campus minister at Presbyterian College. He is currently serving in Middle TN Presbytery as a member of the Christian Education Committee.  C.J. is the chair of the Williamson County Foster Care Review Board. In addition to Ukirk, CJ will be serving a local congregation (First Presbyterian Church of Manchester TN) two days a week.  CJ is married to Rachel Thompson and together they have a son named Søren.

UKIRK is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and has been an active part of the Vanderbilt Community for over eighty years. Realizing that we all have questions about our faith in God, we invite you to come and explore your faith with us as we worship, learn, grow, serve, hang out and have fun together.  Come join us on Tuesdays at 6:00 for worship in St. Augustine’s Chapel.  Immediately following worship (7:00) is a FREE home-cooked meal, provided by a local church.  Hope to see you at UKIRK!
