Goldring testifies before Congress on K-12 education  printer 

Ellen Goldring, professor of education policy and leadership, testified before the U.S. Senate hearing Washington, D.C., on July 15. The hearing, held before the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, addressed Sen. Lamar Alexander’s proposed Pell Grants for Kids, an annual $500 scholarship for every middle- and low-income child. Goldring discussed the possible benefits and challenges of awarding scholarships to increase choice and improve opportunities in K-12 education.
