Vanderbilt's 2007 NCAA champion bowling team will be the guest of President George W. Bush Monday, June 18, at an afternoon reception in the White House's State Dining Room and later in the Rose Garden.

The 10-woman team and its coaches will arrive in Washington, D.C., early Monday morning to prepare for the special event. Vanderbilt's Office of Federal Relations in Washington will host the team at a noon luncheon before it heads to Pennsylvania Avenue.??An official White House photograph is expected to be posted at VUCommodores.com late Monday evening, while first-hand accounts and photos taken in the Rose Garden by an NCAA photographer will appear as they arrive this week.

The Commodores are Vanderbilt's first NCAA champion team and the first bowling team of any kind to visit the White House in 36 years.
