CampVandy is a day camp accommodating up to 200 children from 4 to 13 years of age. It runs for 9 weeks during the summer months from June 1 – July 31. Space is limited so REGISTER EARLY!!

Camp Sessions run from Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. A maximum of 200 participants can be accommodated weekly. The cost is $195 per camper per week for the Nashville Community and $165 per camper per week for all Vanderbilt employees and current Rec. Center Members. Cost includes special activities, arts and crafts, kids climb, a camp T-shirt, two snacks and drinks each day. For your convenience, we offer a nine week camp with early and after-care. Each care services adds an additional fee of $50.00 per week, or $100.00 for both early and after-care. Early care hours are from 7:00 am to 8:30 am, and after-care hours are from 4:15 pm to 6:00 pm.

Mini-Camp Options for Ages 8-13
Add a mini camp to the regular camp week for an extra $50 per camp. Mini-camps will run for two hours each day with a specialized teacher.
Science Mini-Camp • July 13-17
Grab your lab coat and join other junior scientists as we learn science basics, discover crazy chemical reactions, and perform wacky experiments during this fun andeducational experience.
Performing Arts Mini-Camp • July 27-31
This mini-camp will give your child an opportunity to work on their singing, acting, and music skills. At the end of the week, they will put their skills to the test with a performance for all to see.
CampVandy W.I.L.D. for Ages 13 – 15
June 22-26 and July 13-17 • $285 per week
CampVandy W.I.L.D. (Wilderness Immersion and Leadership Development) is designed to provide teens with an opportunity to break from the typical summer experience and explore the wilderness areas around Middle Tennessee. Weekly outdoor activities will include hiking, flat water boating, rock climbing, a high ropes course, and zip lining.

Swim School Group Lessons Transfer Program
Vanderbilt Swim School (VSS) offering a wide variety of classes and times to suite your need and schedule. Check back for more information.
CampVandy Swim School Transfers – CampVandy participants signed up for CampVandy aftercare service can be transferred from CampVandy to the Vanderbilt Swim School for the 4:00 class only.
Parents must purchase CampVandy aftercare services through CampVandy (Add $50 per week) to be able to participate in the CampVandy Swim School transfer program.
All group lessons consist of four 40-minute classes. (Mon through Thur) at a cost of $70 per session.
Upon arrival, children will meet in the gym on court #1 directly inside the North Entrance of the Recreation Center. All children must be accompanied and signed in. Your child CANNOT be signed in before 8:30 am unless he/she is enrolled in early care.
Campers will be dismissed between 3:45 and 4:00 pm. After Care will be dismissed from the upstairs classroom. You must present a photo ID upon arrival of picking up your child. Anyone attempting to pick up their child without an ID will be asked to go get their ID. Camp counselors and OCR staff are not available to walk children to vehicles at any time. Children will not be dismissed from CampVandy without a parental written consent. Please make sure your authorization for pickup is up to date.
Dismissal begins at 3:45 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. From 3:45 p.m.- 4:15 p.m. your child will be located in the gym. After 4:15 p.m. children will be located in the classroom upstairs. After care is 4:15 p.m.-6 p.m., if not enrolled in after care, please pick up your child between 3:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Children not picked up after 4:15 p.m. and not signed up for after care will be assessed a $15 late care fee per day.
What To Bring
During warm summer days, campers enjoy both outdoor and indoor activities. We recommend shorts, t-shirts, non-marking athletic shoes (no sandals), hat, bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen. Please have clothing labeled with your child’s name. CampVandy is not responsible for lost or stolen items including IPods, Toys, clothing, phones, or any other personal items.

Patrons parking on Children’s Way will access the center by 25th Ave or Natchez Trace. The Office of Campus Recreation will not be responsible for ticketing and / or towing fees. Thank you for your participation.
