Nutrition Minute is held once a week at the VRWC that offers quick tips and free samples of nutritious food that help maintain healthy eating habits.

Celebrate March National Nutrition Month. Stop by and check out a few of the myths versus facts about metabolism while enjoying a tasty treat prepared by the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center’s registered dietitian and dietetic interns.

Smart Smoothies: Building a Healthy Blend
Wednesday April 5, 5 – 6PM
Smoothies can be packed with nutrients and a great way to refuel, or they can be loaded with sugar and more closely resemble a fruity milkshake. Come learn how to build your smoothie and give your body the nourishment it needs!

Wondering what to eat before a competition that lasts all day? Do you want to know how to recover faster after a tough workout? Schedule a presentation for your club sports team with a Registered Dietitian to learn about fueling cutting edge athletic performance through nutrition.

The Recreation and Wellness Center provides team presentations based on your group’s needs, interests, and schedule. We can tailor messages to what your group is most interested in. Topics can highlight the following:

  • Pre and post workout foods
  • Healthier snack ideas
  • Eating on the road
  • Supplement use
  • Maximizing calories on a campus meal plan
