Vanderbilt University Fencing Club

Purpose

The Vanderbilt University Fencing Club was formed to provide an area in which members of the Vanderbilt community may learn the sport of fencing in a recreational and competitive setting. Our objective is to provide an open learning atmosphere in which people of all skill levels may increase their abilities and knowledge of the sport. The VUFC practices foil, epee, and saber.

History

The VUFC is one of the oldest sports clubs at Vanderbilt and hosts three tournaments at Vanderbilt a year. The club also travels annually to the Junior Olympic Championships and the Crescent City Open in New Orleans.

Practice

The VUFC practices Tuesday and Thursday evenings year-round from 6:30-9:30pm in the upstairs aerobics room of the rec center. Click here for the current practice schedule.

Affiliations

The VUFC is a member of the United States Fencing Association.
