Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center Expansion
The Recreation Center has recently undergone expansion and renovations and will now house the Health Plus Faculty / Staff Wellness Program starting in January 2014. This new facility will be called Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (VRWC).
The VRWC will provide a progressive environment in which members of the Vanderbilt community can take part in health, wellness, recreational, and competitive opportunities. The facility will offer its students, faculty, staff, alumni, and surrounding community with a positive environment in which to learn, live, compete and practice. The center will foster a sense of pride and loyalty in the institution serving as a rallying point for the Vanderbilt community!
The new center is consistent with the trend on many college campuses of combined recreation facilities that serve students, faculty and staff, and has been funded by a combination of philanthropy and university investment.
