Calendar of Events

To stay current on Vanderbilt’s activities in Washington, the calendar below provides information on events and meetings in which Office of Federal Relations staff are participating, visits from campus officials, and other activities related to national policy decision-making that impacts higher education.

Schedules for each congressional committee, detailing committee hearings and events, can also be found on their respective homepages.



Key Dates for the VU Office of Federal Relations

FEBRUARY 2012

Feb. 6: Mark Dalhouse, lecturer in history and director of the Office of Active Citizenship and Service, and Amanda, program coordinator at the Office of Active Citizenship and Service, visit Washington for meetings.

Feb: 7-8: Ken Galloway, dean of Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering, participates in the American Society for Engineering Education's annual Engineering Deans Council Public Policy Colloquium in Washington, D.C.

Feb. 20: President's Day; federal offices closed.

Feb. 21: Christina West, assistant vice chancellor for federal relations, and Kara Allen, assistant director of federal relations, participate in the monthly meetings of the Coalition for National Security Research, the Energy Sciences Coalition, and the Coalition for National Science Funding in Washington, D.C.

Feb. 27-29: Christina West, assistant vice chancellor for federal relations, visits campus for meetings with faculty and staff.

Feb. 28-29: Kevin Cain, director of federal relations, health and biomedical sciences, visits campus for meetings with faculty and staff.
