Calendar of Events

To stay current on Vanderbilt’s activities in Washington, the calendar below provides information on events and meetings in which Office of Federal Relations staff are participating, visits from campus officials, and other activities related to national policy decision-making that impacts higher education.

Key Dates for the VU Office of Federal Relations

MAY 2013

May 7-8: Christina West, assistant vice chancellor for federal relations, Alex Currie, associate director of federal relations, Alex Currie, associate director of federal relations, and Margie Glick, assistant director of federal relations, participate in the monthly meetings of the Association of American Universities in Washington, D.C.

May 7: Sharon Weiss, associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Vanderbilt’s School of Engineering, participates in the Coalition for National Science Funding's annual exhibition in Washington, D.C.

May 16: Daniel Gervais, professor of Law, testifies at a House Committee on the Judiciary hearing on "A Case Study for Consensus Building: The Copyright Principles Project."

May 14-17: Margie Glick, assistant director of federal relations, visits campus for meetings with faculty and staff.

May 20-22: Christina West, assistant vice chancellor for federal relations, visits campus for meetings with faculty and staff.
