Degrees

  • B.Sc Hons., Imperial College London, Biochemistry, 2004

Research Area

  • My interests lie in understanding the evolution of the neocortex and functional organization of sensory systems in mammals, and how complex brains, such as those of humans, are built from simpler forms.

Current Research

  • Defining the architectonic subdivisions of small mammals, such as squirrels, close relatives of primates, such as tree shrews, and galagos.
  • Understanding the connections between the visual cortex and the pulvinar in galagos and the connections of the temporal cortex of squirrels.
  • The cellular scaling rules in brain evolution and how they may differ between various orders of mammals, such as rodents and primates.

Current Courses

  • PSY 258, Animal Behavior (Jon Kaas), Spring 2008
  • PSY 252, Human Sexuality (Leslie Smith), Fall 2007
  • PSY 246, Schizophrenia (Sohee Park), Spring 2007
