Research Area: Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience
I received my B.A. in Neural and Behavioral Science from Bryn Mawr College, where I worked with Dr. Leslie Rescorla to implement a small-group intervention for public school kindergarteners with mathematics difficulties. My main interest is the functional and structural neural characteristics that support successful math learning in young children. I currently work with Dr. Bruce McCandliss on an NSF-funded project exploring the neural changes associated with formal math education in kindergarten and first grade.
