I study factors that contribute to the severity and persistence of pediatric chronic pain. Every child experiences pain differently. My research broadly focuses on the biological, psychological, and contextual factors that influence 1) how children experience pain; 2) parent and child responses to pain; and 3) the impact of pediatric chronic pain on daily functioning and long-term health outcomes.
