To arrange to receive political science credit for an internship, email katherine.carroll@vanderbilt.edu.  Professor Carroll will provide you with a form to fill out and will meet with you to discuss options for receiving credit.  You may NOT receive academic credit for an internship that you have already completed without first arranging that credit with Professor Carroll.

To arrange for an independent study, consult with the professor who has agreed to work with you.  He or she will provide you with the proper form to fill out.  Return the completed form to the Department office in Calhoun 301 to be registered for the course.

Internships with the Tennessee State Legislature, The Washington Center, and the Vanderbilt Internship Experience in Washington are just a few exciting internship opportunities available. Remember that many internships require some lead time to set up; successful internships are the result of early, thorough planning.
