Tonya Mills obtained her B.A. in history from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She has an Associate’s Degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass and is a certified paralegal. She worked in a Nashville law office and for the VanderbiltUniversityMedicalCenter's Department of Biostatistics before joining Political Science in spring 2005. Tonya is also a guitarist and singer-songwriter and performs in the Nashville and surrounding areas. She is an aspiring world traveler, and obsessed with historical buildings and artifacts, as well as her cat. Darlene Davidson attended TennesseeStateUniversity and has a Certificate from Mason School of Business in Nashville, Tennessee. She has over 24 years of development and administrative experience. Prior to joining Political Science, Darlene worked at Nashville GeneralHospital and Vanderbilt’s Alumni and Development Office. When not at work, Darlene custom makes jewelry from precious stones and sells her art locally and enjoys spending time with her family. Tina has a B.A. in Journalism concentrating on Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin. She has 9 years of hand’s on experience in marketing, advertising, and public relations, where she handled a myriad of tasks from innovating strategies to copywriting. Before joining the Vanderbilt team, Tina worked with the Threads division at LifeWay Christian Resources, the largest denominational publisher in the U.S.; Great Commission Ministries (GCM), a non-denominational Christian ministry to young adults; and Lumatec Industries, Inc., a lighted products manufacturer. Tina is active in ministry with Green Hills Church and served as a vocational ministry leader with GCM for several years. Tina enjoys many artistic and creative outlets, loves to recharge in the gorgeous natural wonders of middle Tennessee, can’t wait for quality time with her dog, cat and parakeets, and tries to get around horses as much as possible.
