The Political Methodology subfield prepares students to be users, teachers, and innovators in the area of research methods applied to Political Science. The faculty at Vanderbilt studying Political Methodology include established and emerging scholars with expertise in the use of statistical models, experimental methods, and game theory to understand political phenomena and behavior.
Students who specialize in Political Methodology will have broad and deep knowledge of research design, statistical modeling and an elective area of their choice as well as many opportunities (and resources) to pursue in-depth, individualized training.
The Political Methodology subfield is offered as a second or third field only.
