Classes of 2013
Plant Ops U – Classes of 2013
In six weeks Plant Operations subject matter experts imparted great knowledge, tasty lunches, fun, and camaraderie to the participants of the first class of Plant Ops U. The class, held on Monday during lunch for six consecutive weeks, created an opportunity for key staff across the campus to learn in more detail what Plant Operations does and even, sometimes, why we do it. The topics range from energy conservation to grounds care to plumbing issues. Some of it has applications to our personal lives as well.
One of our students commented: “[POU] brings all of campus closer together. The result is more efficient operating of the University.”
Another said: “[As a result of attending POU] I have a much greater appreciation of the size and scope of Plant Operations.
And yet another said, “I would like a chance to learn more involved info on some of the topics, like a POU II.”
We are now taking applications for 2013 classes. If you would like to join the fun with a future class, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
