Overview

The Key/Sign Shop maintains all door hardware and locks, and door signage for Vanderbilt University and the Medical Center. This shop provides a variety of services, including:

• door locks
• desk and cabinet locks
• panic hardware
• door closers
• automatic operators
• access control systems
• duplication of keys (with proper authorization)
• re-keying of buildings, departments, and individual locks
• building signage
• exterior and parking lot signs
• signs for special events

To obtain any of these services contact SIS at 343-9675 or submit a Facilities Service Request or a Key Request.

A fee is charged to replace lost or stolen keys, or to unlock a room at the occupant’s request.

Keys may be picked up in Room 103 of the Bryan Building during normal office hours (7:45 am to 4:30 pm.)

Please refer to Plant Operations Policy IIB3 for more information on authorizing and issuing keys. When a craftsman does work for you, they will leave a Service Notice to indicate they completed the work.
