Long Spring Tied to Door Latch for Transverse Waves and Pulses

Demo Description

Tie a long spring to the door knob going into 4228 from the lecture hall and excite transverse pulses and waves by hand.

Instructions

The first photo shows the wave spring and a Slinky in Kit(147) on [E-3-4].

The second photo has caught a transverse pulse moving in the long spring, after having tied the spring to the door latch going into the prep room from SC4327.

The third photo shows the spring hanging from the door latch from its flat-tubular-webbing cotton-string attaching mechanism.
