Equipment Location

  • The tuning forks are in Kit (080A) on [D-1-5].

  • Organ Pipes in Kit(080B) on [D-2-2] .

Instructions

The tuning forks seen in the first photo are a matched set for demonstrating resonance.

With the help of a small lump of modeling clay on one tine of one fork, one may also demonstrate a beat frequency or , “beats”, by sounding both forks simultaneously .

The second photo is of a whistle and organ pipe, both of which are activated by lung power.
