Simple Form Projectile Motion

Demo Description

One projects a ball horizontally, while simultaneously dropping an identical ball from the same height and listens for the coincidence (or not) of the sounds of the balls hitting on the Lecture Table Top.

Equipment

  • Spring-loaded ball launch/drop apparatus on stand.

 



Equipment Location

  • Shelf [F-1-4] houses the apparatus.

 

Instructions

The spring-loaded apparatus is used to project one ball horizontally while simultaneously dropping the other ball.

Students can listen to determine whether or not both balls hit the lecture table simultaneously.
