Acoustic Source Version of Young's Double Slit |
||||
Demo DescriptionTwo speakers are hooked in series to a function generator and placed 1 meter apart on the lecture table. The resulting acoustic field heard in the room, for an input frequency of about 2KHz, has many lines of nodes and crests, which may be sampled by a student sitting in the lecture hall simply by moving her head from side to side. |
