Stars & Planets (Princeton Field Guide) by Ian Ridpath
Lab Locations: During the semester, the astronomy lab will meet at several locations. After 6:10 PM on the day of your lab, you should receive an email regarding where your lab will be meeting each night. You can also check the course website.
1. Vanderbilt Astronomy Laboratory - Located on campus at the top of the 25th Ave. Garage (also known as the Central Parking Garage). Take the elevator to the 11th floor of the garage; the facility is enclosed in a white fence near the center of the top floor.
2. Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory – Located off of Granny White Pike in Brentwood, Tennessee. We will be bused to this facility.
When the weather does not permit use of the observing facilities
3. StevensonCenter Physics Laboratory – StevensonScienceCenter, SC6322, Physics Dept (bldg 6)
4. Stevenson Center Computer Classroom – Stevenson Science Center, SC2200, located on the 2nd floor of the Molecular Biology Building (bldg 2).
