What better way to validate "might makes right"
than by invading Iraq? In ignoring international opinion, not to mention
international law and institutions, the United States is just one of many
states that become vulnerable to groups and countries committed to regime
change for reasons that are compelling only to them.
I refuse to support a war manufactured by privileged
men who have made no sacrifice in service to their country, and in fact
may well have benefited from governmental contacts. Instead, I'll trust
the judgment of military leaders such as General Schwartzkopf, and General
Clarke whose understanding of all aspects of war propel them to advocate
slowing down the rush to invade.
