Career Counseling

For students at Vanderbilt, it is sometimes extra difficult to be certain about a major or a career choice. This is because so many Vanderbilt students arrive knowing, or thinking they know, the career path set for them. But even for them, interests change, grades disappoint, or expectations from home fade with the distance. Other students less certain at the start continue within the career dilemma.

Faculty and staff may be thinking about mid-life changes in career or career setting. Some may be preparing for retirement. The following statements may help determine if the PCC can offer assistance as you think about a first career or about a next career issue.
