About the Center

The Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center is housed in the Baker Building, located at 110 21st Avenue South. It has served the Vanderbilt community since 1949, (known to the community at that time as the University Counseling and Placement Center) when it was located in the "basement" of Kirkland Hall.

The Center offers a range of services to the University community (full-time Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff, and their partners and dependents). These services include individual, group, family & child, and couples psychotherapy, vocational testing, LD/ADHD assessment, community outreach, organizational consulting, and more.

The PCC functions also as a training facility. Each academic year, graduate practicum students, pre-doctoral interns, and post-doctoral residents are chosen to train at the Center. They receive supervision from our staff of licensed psychologists and other professionals.

To make an appointment or to obtain further information about our services, please contact the Center at 615-322-2571. (If on campus, call 2-2571).

The Psychological and Counseling Center is a department within the Division of Student Life.
