General Information about Kayak Classes
Kayak Roll Workshops
are free to Vanderbilt students, Vanderbilt graduate students, and Student
Recreation Center members. All others must pay the $5.00 Recreation
Center guest fee and come as a guest of a Vanderbilt person to the Rec. Center.
To attend the Kayak Roll Workshop,
you must register up to three weeks in advance. You can sign up by calling
343-8181 or by stopping by the Student Recreation Center Equipment desk.
Open Kayaking (8:30 - 9:00 PM) is an opportunity for people (who have had some previous kayaking experience) to practice their roll or their strokes, using the Vanderbilt Outdoor Recreation Program equipment. Please arrive by 8:30 PM or the instructors will leave if nobody shows.
For more information, call the Outdoor Recreation Program at 343-8182 during rental hours (Monday and Friday from 12-6 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 3-6 p.m.).
