During the course of an OSP proposal review, the following is a list of reasons why a proposal may be returned for updates/corrections. This is not an all-inclusive list but is intended as a general overview.

• Incorrect Funding Opportunity Number
• Incorrect start and end dates
• Incorrect congressional district for performance sites
• Budget issues
• Missing narrative holders
• Noncompliance with sponsor guidelines that cannot be changed without rejecting internally
• PI/Department request
