Office of Contract & Research Administration (OCRA)

The Vanderbilt University Office of Contract & Research Management (OCRA) is responsible for

  • the review and approval of proposals that will result in contracts,
  • negotiation and acceptance of research and research-related contracts, and
  • the post-award management of research contracts

for non-medical schools, departments, and units of the University.

In addition, OCRA has campus-wide responsibility for compliance with U.S. export control law and regulation through the Vanderbilt Export Compliance (VEC) group.

OCRA is part of the Office of the Vice-Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School.

Office of Contract Management (OCM)
The Office of Contracts Management (OCM) is a division of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Office of Research. It serves as the central Medical Center office for contract intake, processing, negotiation, and management. OCM reviews both research and non-research contracts, including professional services, educational and affiliation agreements.
 
Their goal is to support the VUMC community in efforts to fulfill the research, education, and patient care missions of the institution. To this end, OCM is committed to providing information, tools and services including, but not limited to, policy interpretation, compliance assurance and award management.
 
The OCM staff is comprised of professionals committed to the best possible customer service. We strive to develop positive, enduring relationships with our internal customers, external funding entities, and our partners across the region, country and world.
