Award Accepted by the Institutional Representative
An award is accepted by the University on behalf of the Principal Investigator once all terms and conditions have been agreed upon. Once the award is accepted we are contractually bound to perform whatever is documented in the award. Information regarding the proposal and award is entered into Vanderbilt's Institutional database, Coeus.  The Institutional Representative then forwards the Sponsor Notice of Award to the PI, departmental administartor and responsible post-award representative.
