DISCOVR-E will no longer accept paper submissions
On October 31, 2008, Vanderbilt's Institutional Review Board (IRB) will complete another phase of its transition to a paperless system. From that point forward, the IRB will no longer accept paper submissions. DISCOVR-E will be the method used to submit items to the IRB.
It has been almost a year since the IRB launched its electronic submission system, DISCOVR-E. Overall, it's been a success, and a majority of people in the research community have taken advantage of it to submit their research applications electronically.
If you are new or unfamiliar with DISCOVR-E, the IRB has options to help you get acclimated. We have a user's manual and short slide shows available in the DISCOVR-E Library to help you navigate your way through the system. In addition, we have another basic DISCOVR-E training session coming up in early October. Please check our workshop schedule to register.
If you'd like additional or more hands-on training, please contact the IRB so you can set up an appointment with a Protocol Analyst to help you learn what DISCOVR-E has to offer.
For additional information on DISCOVR-E, please see the IRB home page at mc.vanderbilt.edu/irb/.
