Research Enterprise Newsletter - August 2008: IRB News

IRB Performance Metrics

Starting in July, the IRB began posting its Performance Metrics on the IRB web site. The Vanderbilt research community can now click a link in the top bar menu to get a snapshot of how IRB reviews and functions are moving along. The charts shown will be updated each month. Currently, the Performance Metrics page lists the overall number of submission, the number of submissions by type, and the median days to first Committee Action Letter (CAL). Watch the Performance Metrics page; this is only the beginning and we have great things in the works.

Satisfaction and Suggestions

Just a reminder that the IRB has a "suggestion box" and a link to an IRB Satisfaction Survey posted on our web site. Please feel free to drop us a line to let us know how we're doing. Feedback from the research community helps us grow, so let us know what we've done great or what could use some work.
