Access Occupational Health before international travel
International travel comes with risks, both medical and financial. Before you embark on an international trip for Vanderbilt business/research, make sure you are educated and protected. Occupational Health will provide you with vaccinations, prescriptions, and health advice to help you stay healthy while you are abroad. They will also help you establish a plan for care should you become sick or injured during your trip. It is important to know your insurance coverage ahead of time, because your health plan may not cover care out of the country or medical evacuation. And certain countries are excluded from Vanderbilt's workers' compensation coverage. Visit OHC's travel website to learn more.

Dr. John Gore has been appointed Chair of the Medical Imaging Study Section of the NIH Center for Scientific Review for the two-year period 2009-2011.
