Murine Neurobehavioral Lab
The Murine Neurobehavioral Lab (MNL) is a shared resource that provides facilities and guidance to support behavior assessment in genetically altered mice. The MNL is supported by the Vanderbilt Center for Molecular Neuroscience, the Kennedy Center. Computer-controlled instrumentation assists researchers in assessing mouse motor and cognitive behavior and drug response. Core personnel consult on experimental design and offer training in animal handling, data acquisition, and statistical analysis. Researchers may access a battery of behavioral tests available for routine evaluations or tailored to the expected mouse phenotype and investigator needs.
