Microarray Shared Resources
The Vanderbilt Microarray Shared Resource offers comprehensive microarray services on a number of technology platforms including Affymetrix, Agilent, and NimbleGen arrays. We are dedicated to providing high-quality arrays, service and support to the scientific community at Vanderbilt University and beyond. Non-microarray services include the maintenance and distribution of lentiviral shRNA clones and real-time PCR verification using the ABI 7900HT.
The VMSR was founded in 1999; after several significant expansions, the VMSR now employs 8 full time staff members and processes over 6,000 microarrays per year. Over 150 laboratories from Vanderbilt and collaborative institutions around the world have utilized the VMSR since January 2001. The VMSR strives to continually adopt the most up-to-date methods and technologies available, ensuring all investigators have access to comprehensive and state of the art gene expression and bioinformatic services in the VMSR.
